What is everyone doing to their car this winter?

I have met my goal this year about having it drive in the garage on its on power (no carnage), so he will get Willwood brakes, and RJC 4" exhaust, might even get a couple coats of wax .......

- Install ATR headers
- Install TA Rearend cover and change rearend fluid
- Install Rear seat frame brace kit
- Need to get some FG bumper fillers and install them (getting tired of looking at the cracked factory ones)
- Get some 255/60/15 M/T Drag Radials and maybe actually get the car to the track while there is some cold weather??

leaving it in the secure location its in now, replacing the hood, fenders, fixing doors, replacing header panel, grille, bumper, lights... mainly bodywork. Its too cold to do any major engine work right now. Ill have to see about engine work in a few weeks.

Getting closer to having the Grey car on the road... put in a CPT6665BB, MAFT PRO, Razors Alky, 4" MAF pipe, RJC pulleys plus some odds and ends, also about $500 worth of powdercoat and jethot. A new baby girl has me tapped from doing the interior, that will have to wait after the next deployment....

Just got done putting a nice pypes exhaust on her the other day. took the car out for a drive feeling so good that this winter i will have the car 100% running good, when all of of a sudden the two center CAM BEARINGS decided to check out. Guess what i am going to be doing this winter?

So much to do.... lets see....

Well I removed the purple tint from the drivers side windows and put up new tint and by the time I was done with those I was out of daylight and then it started raining or I haven't had time so hopefully finish those. Maybe I'll clear space in the garage and take it inside.

I ordered an Alky kit from Razor and hope to have it on before spring.

I have all the parts for hydroboost brakes sitting around the house and also need to change out my power steering pump since it's leaking.

I'm waiting to hear back about some rocker shafts I need to fix the broken one my car has then hopefully fix it.

I need to throw on the intake manifold but I am waiting to get a billet vac block and billet tstat housing.

I've already bought a bunch of new bolts to replace the old ones I had in the intake manifold and rusted ones in the plenum. I also repainted the valve covers and plenum and did a little crappy porting to the plenum just because. During the hydroboost I will remove a lot of junk to get to it and the P/S pump and along the way I will derust/repaint/powdercoat or replace anything I need to.

Then lastly I hope to have my AC system flushed, compressor changed, accumulator changed, and swap over to 134a before it warms up.

I may do a tranny fluid/filter change and retorque some bolts on the oil pan and tranny pan to help seal some leaks.

Anyone want to help?

1° Install shift light (almost done...)
2° Hope to have my defective Danko fiberglass front bumper replaced
3° New TH-400 will be going in next spring (probably sometime in April '11)

Well that's about it...Right now, the car is stored, battery disconnected, with a car cover in my heated garage, next to my '02 Thunderbird...

Claude.

This kinda died, what did everyone end up doing???

Well I just ordered from Turbo Tweek,
80# injectors and 6.0 chip
Powerlogger
AEM Wideband.

I just got my Te62 back from PTE
Champion 1 inch plenum spacer.
Brand New Vince Janis All Billet Stage 2 tranny.

Come on snow...melt baby!!!

Well I posted way back when the thread first started. I have since fabbed a rear turbo set up for the hot air. I've added a LS1 Maf and translator. I'll have the rest of the pipe work done on Monday. I'll be wrapping all the exhaust and it should be on the road and ready for some tuning.

HaHa, Yeah. It is definately a mock up. I just want to see if it will actually work before I button everything up and make it pretty;). Read this http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/hot-air-non-intercooled-tech/338744-project-mock-up.html More info and pics there. My 40th birthday is next Thursday and I want to start my mid life crisis and go cut some donuts in the GN:D.

i did

a vw turbo on my sons honda elite scooter kinda looked like a hardware store first then we got it going and i made every thing custom then he spun the motor so hard with the turbo it blew into little chunks so me and him are stating over by doing the motor first this time. we took a scooter that would run about 38 and made it go 73 we are shooting for 80 but i dont want to kill him my wife wouldnt like that to much hes 13

That's cool. I'm surprised no one has done this yet. Be sure to start a thread in the hot air section and keep it updated. I love seeing the homebrew projects:cool:

I also posted what i was doing way back when it first started. But I just ordered my PTC from dusty a few days ago. The only thing left is my ported lower intake manifold from FT. After that it's on it's way to ottos. He's getting all the gaskets, hardware etc etc Gunna be above freezingfor the next 10 days. So there's a good sign:D
