11.629 @ 115.61mph

Bison and Otto know better.

I have a lock-up with a burnt out lock-up....so I unplugged the connector from the side of the trans and run without lock-up.....been driving around like that for months....:D

Aside from the stuff I listed, there is of course some mph and ET involved in the rooky driver alone.

I know what you're thinking..."Did he use all 6 cylinders...or did he only use 5?"
Well....to tell you the truth....in all this excitment... I kinda lost track myself....but since this is a Turbo Buick...one of the most powerful turbo 6s in the world... and it'll blow your doors clean off...you gotta ask yourself one question... "Do I feel lucky?"

Well...do you, punk?:cool:

Hey Flaco.
Mystery solved.
Your turbo is a PTE-6265 with billet wheels & dual ceramic BB recommended for your combo by PTE.
Now go update your sig and let people know:biggrin:

Dude my car is stock! ;) I would feel like a show off listing all my mods.

My build is similar to 'meanchickens' and my best 1/4 mile run was:

60' = 1.706 (Hoosier QTP with 4# foot brake launch)
330' = 4.619
1/8 et = 7.080
1/8 mph = 99.75
1/4 et = 11.01
1/4 mph = 124.32

If I could have hooked better, I could have run 10.x.

boost = 27
timing = 26/22
temp = 52
fuel = 93 + alky
knock retard = 0

meanchicken has the combo to go 10.x, once his header leak is fixed and he has some cooler weather. Nice run for the boost level he ran.

1......2......Flaco's comin for you :cool:

I'm gonna have to spend a few hours fixing these headers, then I just might have to make the 1.5 hour drive and come on down to Qualcomm on one of those cool, dense San Diego nights and see how many tenths I can pick up on that 7.37 I ran in the 8th in the hot desert air a couple weeks back.

The fastest any one part on my engine has gone so far was the TA-61. When it was atop Spoofool2's engine, it went 11.17 I think at 24lbs blowing through Champion ported Irons and a similar combo as I recall, so it's got the lungs to do it... it's a matter of tuning the combo and the driver to get it there.:biggrin:

You might not hook any better. The Q is a parking lot 1/8 mile. I'm looking into going to Barona one of these days.

24lbs is to rich for my blood. I dont feel comfortable at all going higher than 20lbs. So yeah you'll beat me if you up the boost.

I think I got you covered at 20-22lbs...I just want to send a message.:cool:

meanchicken has no respect first he calls his daddy out and now his follow brother Flanco.

Flaco called me out.
He got all confident cuz he beat up on a helpless Sti like we all told him he could, and now he wants to tangle with the champ ;)

Now...I did call out Papa Lou...but only cuz I found this recipe posted to that picture of his old race GN in his shop.....offensive and threatening...:eek:

Ha I read that too. pretty funny. Yes I'll tangle with the champ. You know Pappa Lou will work his magic on my car if we were to ever race.....;) Just saving up my pennies for some ported heads and intake. Uno de estos dias pollo te voy a chingar....

Hey now...you got such a cute girlfirend...why you talking all dirty to me?:rolleyes:

You can chase my bumper all you want....but...there will be no going in through the out door on this rooster. :mad:
I don't even like Led Zepplin that much.:p

Don't be a hater....we're cuzins, Cuz...;)
I might look like I'm Scotch/Irish, but I'm really New Mexican (a.k.a. New Latino)...born in Albuquerque, NM.:biggrin:

...and...definitely keep saving for those ported heads and intake. That's the biggest restriction you have right now on your "stock" combo;).

in a show down chicken vs flaco i got the chicken!!!!!! so when and where is this going down? :biggrin:

The car is picking up 24 vin the back end of the track. Tuneup is fine in 3rd gear. You just need to bring the 330 down and the ET will drop.

Timing and traction are your best friends. Crank up the bottom end and teh ET will drop.

Not bad for a rookie :D

Lol not anytime soon. When it happends it's gonna be a brawl.....

Nah...more like a friendly spanking...
I'm entirely too happy to brawl with anyone.
:biggrin:

Thanks, Julio.
I'll try more 1/2 timing next rime.

My traction was excellent on all but 1 of my 7 runs.
They matched me up against this 9 second monster Camaro and I nearly inked myself :eek:when he launched with his wheels in the air...made me overboost on my own launch and I blew my tires off....:rolleyes:

Here's that run (attached):redface:

See its sometimes a hit or miss deal getting one of these cars to dead plant the tires. A lot easier is using slicks. Then simply leave at 15 PSI boost and 25-27 degree's timing.. the car if it plants and hooks will drop an easy 4 tenths of your number.

When your on radials.. its a whole different game. Seat time behind the wheel at the track is another story. As it takes time to get use to the car, read track conditions, learn to put the car on the groove so it hooks, and pay attention to stupid little things like engine temp, boost, etc to get things all squared away.

For a car you simply drive around in.. show up at the track and rip off some mid 11's.. you did great.

If you want an easy 10 second car, build a 9 second one :wink: You have a car that can run low 11's given better weather and better traction. But thats a shoulda/coulda/woulda that doesnt mean anything. In the end the car is quick and enjoy it. At the mid 11 second level, it should last a while.. at the low 11 second level.. not as long.. in the 10's.. you'll get good with a tq wrench :D
