what is the most rare nos buick part you own?

3 or 4 NOS turbo hood ornaments
Lots of NOS emblems
Original GM GNX emblems
Original ASC license plate
Original "Grand National" license plates (do Not say Buick)
Lots of NOS hoses (heater, oil cooler, vacuum, etc.)
Lots of NOS relays and sensors
Lots of NOS small gaskets (for repro. samples)

But Most of my NOS parts are for the '79 Century Turbo Coupes:

Lots of NOS center caps for polycast wheels
(desperately Need trim rings ;) )
LOTS of tail light and signal lenses
Bumperettes and bumper strips
Lots of NOS emblems and stickers
NOS aluminum bumper reinforcement
NOS door skins (rare)
NOS rear spoilers (super rare)
NOS Aluminum Bumpers (3 pc Outer bumper faces - Not reinforcements)
(ultra rare ) :eek::eek:

I'm sure there are more NOS parts buried that I don't even remember I have

I got an OEM bolt with no rust on it..... talk about rare, got all yall beat

yeah.... you dont find too many of those nowadays .

I have a 87 grille and I think 1 good headlight bezel (got left outside in OEM box over the winter ).

9 hole insulator pad going on my 16k car in a month or so. And no, it aint for sale either.

I have an NOS GNX turbocharger turbine with the correct collar bearing for the ex side. Its the only one ive ever heard of or seen. Much more rare than a NOS GNX turbo assmebly. If you want to keep your GNX original then you need to retain the original turbocharger backing plate since it has the serial # on it. So you are left with two choices: cannibalize an NOS assembly or find a replacement turbine. Ive had two NOS 9 hole pads and a couple sets of rear fillers amongst other things over the years

Without a doubt probably one of the rarest parts anywhere is that turbine of urs. That thing will appreciate like gold some day.

Well lets try this one for rare.
Set of filter lens for the dash. Or the spring that holds up the shifter rod so the lock out works.

Teaser pic. :p

Actually Brian at GBody or some of the used parts guys should be able to find these in great shape probably toss in the photocell too reasonably.

NOS black hood molding, rear P/N: 25519949
I bought the molding at an estate sale for $5. The guy had various GN parts. I saw that molding in the wrapper and knew it must go somewhere on a GN.

NOS shifter cable
I found it brand new in the plastic covered with trash in a 87 Monte SS in a junk yard. I got it for $5 too.

I also got the CZF transmission out of that same 87 Monte SS. I paid $140 for it.

Iv'e seen this exact same thing before, as a matter of fact John (GNX 405) has one and he had it at the TB.com event this year still in the same box and with the proper bushing too.. Very rare indeed.

I have the same hood trim, kind of curious as to how rare it is. Remembered that I also have floor mats as well, but they were not stored properly so the backing has deteriorated a bit.
