That first pic threw me for a sec. It looks like the compressor housing is turned upside down and connects directly to the TB with no IC. Glad you posted the rest.:D

There are actually Buicks like that. Not many but I have seen at least one that went direct from turbo to throttle body. Its an E85 car and he claims better performance without an IC.

Ok guys I finally got my 86 stocker all done! Jim Dunn, Ed Singleton, and my self created this stock appearing sexy engine bay. Do I make the grade? I think it came out ok what do you guys think?!

Damn Philly, that is F'ing SWEET! That makes me want to go back to stock looking. That is like a GM broshure from 86' looking nice.

Probably $$$$$$ :p

WD-40 will do the same thing if sprayed all around the engine compartment. It will make it look like everythings been clear coated. You just can't drive it anymore if you don't want dirt to cling to it afterwards.:D Still, that's a clean looking engine bay!

lol you got it right! $$$$$ makes it bling!

What ever you do please so not spray your engine bay with WD40!! You will have the biggest mess in the world the second dust sticks to it. Have you actually seen someone spray their engine bay with WD40 to make it shine? I feel sorry for that person! Some guy told me he uses Pledge on his engine bay and I told him he was nuts! I would think WD40 would be 1000 times worse!

The stuff I use is from a local company that sells detail products locally. While it gives that wet look nothing sticks to it and in about a month or so it will just go away and you'll never know it was there. It leaves nothing behind and wipes right off even after you spray it. Nothing silicone based in it. Works nice when you want to win at a show that's for sure. :)

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I have my 87 that is all modified up and I really wanted a nice clean stock GN for local shows. I see so many low mile GN's that the engine bay looks like crap. I could roll the speedo back to 10K on this car and you would never know it!

Philly the car looks great. Is the turbo cover powder coated?

Thanks! I did the intake, valve covers, dog house, and TB in sterling silver. The up pipe, turbo shield, headers, down pipe, cross over pipe, and any nut bolt or stud that gets hot all were ceramic coated.

Jim, I'm going to need some private time after that one

I thought you would enjoy all that powder coating Alan! :D I got a text from a friend the other day and he said looking at my engine bay was better the porn! lol That makes it all worth while!

Mint engine bay. Nice job philly:)

Thanks guys! I've been dreaming about doing a stock engine bay for a long time and give it that fresh look. I was going to leave the intake side of the turbo alone but I figured I needed just a touch of bling under there somewhere!
