6765 billet 800hp on a supra!

Dang! I think that's the turbo Chad just put on the WE4. He's going to blow that sucker up for sure.
He just learned he needs a billet intermediate shaft yesterday. Yep. Learned the hard way. Luckily, he didn't have to push the car too far.

Impressive numbers, it will be interesting to see how fast a Buick can run with one of these.

Probably a lot quicker tha a Supra does. From what I have seen that 800hp should get the Supra into the 11's at around 140mph

Wrong, if they setup the suspention right this supra should go low 10's maybe high to mid 9's at around 150..

My mistake. I just checked with Chad. His is a 6265. So is 62 the turbine and 65 the compressor? Not familiar with the Precision numbering. Garret numbering?

Not wrong at all, since I said "From what I have seen". We have a couple of local Supra's putting 1000hp to the ground and they run high 9's.

You know what a 800hp Supra and a 500hp Buick have in common? It's not the number of cylinders

This was done on 1,000hp to the ground. ;) tell me what you think?

Here is an 8 second Honda.... YouTube - 8 second honda So what's ur point?

Cal didn't say there were NO Supras that could put down some serious power. Just not most of the one's HE has seen.

Considering he frequesnts the track probably every other weekend id say his opinion holds water. Ur comparing apples to oranges.

That white supra (marko) has made 1500hp on a dyno. I doubt he made his 8.45 run at the 1000hp tune. Its a bada$$ car and he is a nice guy, but Cal makes a good point.

Supras can put down wayyyy more power than any GN would ever put down on a stock block, there are supras outthere putting down 800rwhp on a stock unopened block and they hold without breaking, GN's on a stock block could maybe handle 500hp if lucky and after that all bets are off, I"d take a supra making 800rwhp over a GN making 500RWHP anyday no questions asked..

Yes that was his 1,100rwhp tune when he made the 8.45 pass.

The car in the video is a car out of North Texas setup for the texas mile race in Austin, TX.

That being said. It'd be interesting to see a match race between a supra with 6765 and Gn with 6765. Anyone know of one?;)

While you are comparing technology from the 60's (V6 buick block) to new technology, it would come as no surprise the Supra block can take a little more beating in stock form. However, it's not to say with a few bolt ons the V6 can make WAY more than 800 and live quite reliably.

The Supras are bad a$$ cars, I don't knock them, but I think you are going to have a tough sell here on the board here.

Here's a stock block GN putting down more than 800 HP.

Last time out the big bad Supra at the track "had issues" when we were supposed to line up. He probably knew what was going to happen....

What I think is Marko is going to have to turn it up alot and work on the tree. Running a number and sitting there reading the paper at the light doesn't win races, unless are running against 10 second cars.

Here's a good one, what went wrong??

Not to many Buick v6 engines running 50+lbs of boost and spraying them. Watch some of the dyno pulls with marko's car and Larry from sound perormance.I thought they were running 60 psi:eek:.I ran 35psi once. once. The main caps quit their job. Poor little v6.These two cars cant be compared to each other. You have a high tech $50,000 car compared to a $17,000 with state of the art:biggrin: eletronics car.If I was paying to build one I would take the buick but I would love to own a supra .My friend had sound performance do some work on his and I would say mid to low elevens if you could get it to hook.
