Humbled smack talker SRT4 tonight

Make sure its quality video, with many people filming... I dont want to see a crappy phone video again.

Yall should call the movie crew from pinks, ask em for a traveling crew to head out to alaska and film your race..

My bet is on the GN, that turbo with the right setup, good enough so to speak.

Lets get it on!

heh ya your right its just a neon might want to see whats under the hood before you judge it
http://www.darksyderacing.com/images/big5.jpg

and my SRT is not a ACR its just a regular SRT-4 2.4L turbo FWD 5spd

minor bolt ons ya know... GT3582R DBB turbo, 28x14x4 FMIC, 2.5'' hard pipes all around, Tial 38mm wastegate (external) and a 50mm BOV... some small injectors (RC750's however I need to put my 1000CC's back in since they were installed on a customers car until his replacement RC's arrived) just some small stuff... its slow i swear :p

btw 14yrs.. so what rank are you up to? im still a little guy in the army.. E4(P) only been in for 2yrs and a few months.. just waiting for my points to post so I can pin on my E-5 Rank... takes 30 days to post points.

I would suggest you do some pushups but I figured you are already on a P3 Profile... have a good night old timer

profile? lol. No real light infantryman would ever be on a profile son lol. and id hump you into the dirt too.
Anyways, like i was saying before. i know your car isnt an acr, but i heard that those were the fastest (from the factory) and thats why i was complimenting them. they are indeed very fast. but like i said.. theyre STILL a little neon. very respectable, but a young females car nonetheless.
No matter how many little bolt on's ya throw on that thing.. Itll forever be just a neon lol. At any rate, that grand national is going to spank your little bottom. Now start knockin em out son. I say, you guys race for t shirts and pushups. The loser, has to wear a "I love grand nationals" or "I love neons" t shirt, while doing pushups in front of everyone. Then they have to wear this shirt for the next month worth of cruises at the local strip.... Its fair I think. If i were there, Id do it.

I didnt keep up with this post and I kept getting email notifications about it...Well now I read it and lets see this race! Get it on film.

hopfully this weekend the race will go down doing the clutch on friday and saturday morn I have to do a turbo installation for a customer (60-1 on a SRT-4 the car should be a mid 11 second car after I tune it). anyway yes the race will be on film (of course :) lol)..

yes its still a neon.. however when you loose to one you refer to it as a

"SRT-4" not a neon (as im damn sure you wouldnt tell your friends I just lost to a NEON.)

ill post some pictures of from the most recent shots of the car.. hang tight im posting the links in about 5 min (uploading)

ng)
I can understand that. You wouldn't wanna tell your freinds that you lost to an old Buick. Looking forward to the results. It looks like it could be close.

Actually, yes it is still an ugly (turdy-looking) neon..Crappy chrysler junk....

i own both a modded 87 gn and a bone stock 04 srt4 (my dd). i wouldn't be bashing the srt so bad without driving one first. this looks like it's going to be a rather close race.

but i thought they made neons specifically for 5 purposes:
1. Delivering pizza.
2. Safely commuting 17 yr. old college girls to and from school.
3. Driver's license tests.
4. for people who couldn't afford anything NICE LOOKING
5. for circus bears to drive (or was that vw bugs?  )

In any case, congrats on going so fast, must've took a lot of time and money. Gotta respect someone who'll put all that effort into something so god-awfully ugly. You've got guts man!! :p

By the way, if your car was so un-ready before the first race, why'd you make the challenge in the first place, Instead of firing off all the excuses after the fact? I LOVE stirring the pot!!!

Damn, thats cold

The fastest Neon I've seen around here ran a flatt 12 which is pretty impressive I reckon but It's still a neon. That guy ended up selling his Neon since it wouldn't move without slicks. Now even though I'm pulling for the Buick, this should still be a pretty cool race.

nobody has yet to race....it has rained 16 days straight. if it clears up things will be alot better for both of us traction wise.. currently there are quite a few 10 second SRT's running around and many low 11 second SRT's on stock turbo... these cars are pretty quick if you can get them to hook up. luckily my tractionbars arrived saturday and will be going on this week along with the new clutch in hopes for a clear sunny weekend... drag radials are due in this week as well so that should even things up a bit

I wouldnt be running off at the mouth as your car is also based off of a base model buick regal lol... not much to say for that either.. the GN is like the SRT in many aspects. its the performance model of both. you do not go around saying "I own a regal" as people would thing ok grandpa..

as for why did we race to begin with.. well when I left out for the night I was not expecting to race anyone to be honest with you. however I jumped at the chance to race a fun car (the GN)

so you can keep saying "the ugly turd neon" and all your hyped up answers about the neon but until you have seen mine in person or raced one that has close to or the same amount of mods I would keep your opionion to yourself as this car is very capable of 10 secon passes with proper tires and a better tune. the really funny thing is next spring we are making a trip to the lower 48 to hit up about 10 diff. tracks then attend the SRT nationals... maybe we will run into each other ;)

Ya, thats not the first car/truck I've seen run slower here than anywhere else. The conditions must sux around here. Our elevation is 3000ft which isn't to bad but it gets pretty hot. Anyways, post up once you guys do run...but wait till it stops raining ;)
