Z Car Transplant

Hi,

Just wondering if any of you guys have transplanted a Buick poweplant into a late 70s early 80s Nissan Z Car? I know I have heard of it being done, I was just wondering what it entailed and what were some of the major obstacles. I know they are famous for having small block chevys installed, but why waste time doing something like that! Any comments would be appreciated. Also I think I would have to use the rear differential as well as the tranny. Suspension mods to accomodate that could be a chore.

Thanks to you guys who replied. I will contact Scottie. Watch out next spring if you pull up to an innocent lookin 280zx. It just might be a 380zx T!

Do you have a transplant vehicle yet?

That is a sweet transplant. Derek(I think) has a brown Datsun that runs 10's without breaking a sweat. Just ask some of the street racers in BG with there big tired cars.
