Wrong Down Pipe????

If I trade my downpipe for aftermarket headers for a downpipe that is made for stock headers what exactly hits or prevents it from going on????

What kind of headers and what kind of downpipe? Diameter of downpipe?

3in down pipe

so if i have Atr headers and have a downpipe for them then switch to a downpipe for stock headers (3in) even atr or thdp what will hit or the problem

the down pipe that is for ATR headers is kicked out more towards the pass side to clear the crossover pipe that come from the other side .

the down pipe for stock headers doesnt kick out because the crossover joins in at the bottom

On my car I have the ATR headers with a 3" THDP, and I had to "gently massage" the dp to clear the headers and the heater box. When I have the money to, I will get a ATR dp so I don't have to do this.

so in a nut shell its just hits the mid to bottom of the pipe coming down to the cat
