Why low fluid pressure?

In my 200-4r (czf), the pressure seems low in the forward
gears only. Why is there so much pressure in reverse. It seems
that you would never need 250 p.s.i in reverse. What would
cause my fluid pressure to be so low in the forward gears only.
Shifts are soft, but it does not slip. What would the remedy be?

Max. pressure in OD is 140, and all other forward gears it is
only 125.

'86-'87 CZF stock pressures as per GM service manual @ 1000 rpm.

How do all the pressure compare in relation to these? Rev is boosted by intermediate boost vale which is normal.

Does what mean you need a new pump? Your 140- 125 are with in spec's for a stock trannie, but if you want to raise them check this out:
