Hey all,
I was changing out my stock IC today for one with the big neck. When I pulled my stocker out of the car, I noticed that it had oil in the neck going to the TB. I thought, well, there goes the turbo seal.
When I looked at the neck coming from the turbo, it was dry! The turbo housing was also dry. So, I guess that rules out the turbo being bad. (I hope)
So, where's the oil coming from? The intake? The TB itself didn't look too oily, but when I pulled the stock IC off from the up-pipe, there was residual oil built up in that joint.
Can anyone shed some insight here? Pretty weird to me. Turbo side of the IC, no oil at all. TB side of IC, oily. Where's the oil coming from and how do I stop it? TIA!!
