where to buy new gm 350 (for '94 truck)

just wondering if any of you have any suggestions on where to purchase a NEW gm 350 longblock for a '94 4x4 chevy 1/2 ton. gmpartsdirect has it for about $1900 and a local dealer sells the same unit for $1600. is there anywhere else to look before purchasing one? its just a daily driver that needs a replacement motor, nothing fancy or upgraded, just a stock replacement. any help appreciated. aaron
