Where does this light go to??

I was installing the ME and when I took the center console off I found a light socket, with no bulb, hanging close to the ALDL socket. That same conection is the one that feeds the light on the center console that displays the gear.

Where does the light go??

I believe it lights the ashtray. Some of them look like a metal pill with a little slit in it and a spring clip around them.

Caancer Sticks

I believe that is the light for the cancer stick tray on the G-Bodies. On my 1986 Monte Carlo SS it was used for a light for the cigarette tray, but because our GNs don’t have the cigarette tray under the radio it is not used .
