Even a stock turbo can pick up with a Downpipe, but the actual difference isn't Huge.

In the 11.7's I tested a ported Elbow/2.5" DP vs a THDP back to back, with the same boost setting and the THDP was only .05 seconds and 1.5 mph faster.

Most of the gain appeared to be above 5000 RPM, though the traps. 1/8 mile was nearly identical.

If the downpipe has a test pipe and a dump, and you open the dump, the car will be about 1/2 second and 5 mph faster after the downpipe swap on a stock car.

At least 80%-90% of this is the dump/test pipe and the rest is the actual downpipe.

With good flowing exhaust, the difference isn't huge between a THDP and ported stock Elbow.

BTW, mine already had a 3"DP
