Trying to help my buddy figure out which wheels and tires to go with on his GN. Car has the global west suspension and brake package, lowered with springs about 1.5 all around. Currently has 16inch Kirban wheels but want to do a little more.

Want ALOT of meat on the rear, and whatever won't rub on the front end.

Any ideas? or where can I look to find guys that road race and auto-x??????????

Thanks for any help

Check out the American Racing Torque Thrust wheels in 17 inch. They will make a 8 and 9 inch wide rim with any back spacing.

You can run a 285x40x17 in the rear and a 245x45x17 in the front. Good combination.

I heard that wheels with 17x8.5" w/4.25" back spacing and 255-40s in the front and 17x9.5" w/4.75" back spacing and 285-40 in the rear is a good combination but I do not know if this is good with a lowered car?

I don't know if you've seen my car but, I'm running 18" simmons. 295 35 18's on 18x9.5 rear and 245 40 18's on 18x8.5 front. Pics are in my sig.

Josh,
When you discussed with Simmons which size of wheel to purchase for a GN, did they recommend a 17" or 18" ? I was thinking that Mark's GNX has the 17" ones and you were comparing the two different sizes.
