what's this exhaust?

I have a 2 1/2" system that came with the car and a small paper that says ... "1984-1987 T-Type & Grand National Dual Exhaust System...

"Kit contains: 2 front pipes, 2 tail pipes with tapered end, 2 muffler hangers with 2 1/2" clamp attached, 2 2 1/2" clamps, 2 2 1/4", and 2 small "L" shaped brackets."

"...you now have a 2 1/2" system which enables the turbo to breathe better under heavy acceleration. This is the same format as the GNX"


Any ideas what this is? and if it's any good?

Does it have the "Y" pipe that bolts to the catalytic converter? If so, sounds like you have it all except mufflers.
