Does anyone know where I can get brake shoes for an 87' GN that will allow me to hold more boost on launches? I have the S-10 wheel cylinders and Kirban's Doesn't carry them anymore. I was told to get the shoes that are glued but all the local auto part stores carry riveted shoes. Thank you!!

Just get 2 sets of the cheapest shoes and use the long shoes out of each. The cheaper organic/ semi metallic shoes hold better than the more expensive ceramic.

Even if they're riveted, rather than glued? I have Advanced Auto Parts and O'Reilly's nearby.

A line lock is key to holding more boost. Even Cheap, double long shoes is not going to hold boost when hot.

My line lock is down on frame rail and the switch/light is under the ashtray for complete stealth.

For double long shoes, I'd get two pair and send the new shorts back for cores.

Line lock does help in keeping the rear brakes cool. The trick to keeping the rear brakes cool during a burnout without a line lock is to get into the edge of the water, build 5lbs of boost and let off the brakes and just apply enough to hold.
