I know this is asked alot but should I rebuid my hotair motor and down the line IC it or buy a 86 - 87 motor and rebuild that?
Is it worth rebuilding the 84 motor?

Really depends on your goals, views and resistance to change.

I would study your goals first and determine them now before you do anything. In order to convert an 84/85 to an 86/87 you really need an donor engine with all the 86/87 ecm. harness and all the mechanical hardware.
