What size cap to use for bass blocker?

I just installed some Infinity 5.25 & 3.5's in the doors and dash. They sound really great. I would like to block out some of the low end to help improve the midrange.
I've heard you can use capacitors inline to take out the lows. I need advice on what size cap and where to place them in the circuit. Do they go in series on the + side, the - side or parallel across both? Is there a chart which shows how mfd's affect frequency?

I assume you have a specific frequency in mind:

You want a high pass cap filter.

Then check out this site for more wiring, different ways to do it, easiest is put the passive xover in the 'plus' line.

If you want to get fancy and use a diff type of xover, there is software out there that will calculate cap values for you.

Partsexpress.com use to have a chart in their catalogs of their line of caps specifically for passive x-over applications, I couldnt find it on their website tho.
