What sensor is this??

Im sure everyone already knows but I have tryed searching the forums and I havent been able to come up with what ive been looking for. What is the sensor mounted on the passenger side valve cover that has hoses running from the compressor housing to the waste gate. What does this sensor do? Does it affect the cars performance if its hoses are unhooked? I was wondering this because I have the rjc hybrid boost controller and from my understanding when this unit is hooked up it leaves this sensor out, right? Thanks.

Wastegate Solenoid

Correct on not using it for the RJC boost controller.

That is the factory boost control valve. It is not used if you have another type of boost controller. :biggrin:

I would leave the plug end connected to the solenoid, otherwise you may get the SES light to code for an open circuit on the wastegate solenoid.
