Clunking when you put it in reverse.

Not being allowed into some cruises and shows because it is too "new"

Paranoid about leaving it unattended while at shows/cruises

Valve cover/spark plug clearance around AC box.

Powermaster brake system

The "nice Monte Carlo" shout outs.


Like!

Getting more crowds around it than the older cars at shows/cruises

Knowing your car is faster than most of those older cars at shows/cruises with just bolt ons.

Having a car that helped start a part time business

How black paint looks on an overcast day

The finger pointing and attention when driving it. Usually not the middle finger.

Not having a Powermaster brake system any more.

- Panel fit, gaps are impossible to get right (as has been mentioned already).

I'm at the point where if nothing rubs it's good enough!

And it's the only car I've ever had that the valve covers leak with new gaskets

I actually just noticed that today. Paint seemed really wet today. Must of been because of the cloudy weather.

The Good:
- It will kill ANYTHING from a roll (especially rice, they hate that.)
- It sounds wicked rolling through the parking lot at just the right drone level.
- I can afford to own it cause I can work on it myself with normal tools. Anything more fun, I would have to take it somewhere to get fixed.

The Bad:
- 4 bolts per cylinder and a cast crank.
- Gauges are CRAP (WTF???)
- Too fast to road race because it'll cook the brakes, tires, and tranny in one lap.

My likes:

most bad A$$ reputation
not everyone has one (I.E. Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelle)
most other owners of Turbo Regals are great to get along with
big inch V8 power, with a fuel injected gas saving V6
the "cult" following they have
sweet/cool/nice car comments



My dislikes:

worrying about theft
worrying about some moron or some morons kid touching,scratching,denting, etc. at shows or ANYWHERE for that matter
"Nice Monte Carlo comments"
falls apart like all G-Bodies if neglected

Things I Hate:
1. Seat is so uncomfortable, especially on the two hour drive to the track.
2. No armrest (fixed problem with aftermarket 'tall' one)
3. Slow power windows.

Things I love:
1. Drive two hours to track in overdrive, ac on, cruise set at 70mph, average 25 miles per gal- drop air in drag radials to 20psi- touch nothing else, 1st pass down track 11.79@116 mph - PRICELESS!

* Its a GM legend with a sinister reputation for laying the smackdown on most street cars from its era
* It looks like a Hot Wheel toy Nascar I used to play with when I was a kid.
* Its just a mean looking SOB without all the glitz of ricer accessories
* Females hate it until they ride in it and realize that its faster then it looks

Dislikes:
* Parts are expensive...sometimes I just wanna get a 4th gen Camaro and call it a day.
* TRs are on all car thieves hot list.
*Police think I am a gangbanger every time they see me
*Most of the general public think Im a gangbanger everytime they see me in it.
*These cars are as sensitive as a fragile woman.
*Speaker location and size sucks.
*Why did someone order my car with a friggin pegleg rear end?
*No matter how frustrated I get with it...I just cant let it go. Its like a bad relationship with Playboy model
