What cars had the aluminum core suppports???

Hi, I'm building a '82 Regal for the track only. I've seen here that they used to make an aluminum core support for the car.

Can someone tell me how much weight savings they give you and what cars/years did they come in? Thanks.

Also, would swapping the rear drums to discs save any weight???

I did find on another thread that it saves about 10 lbs. on the front end.

I think we saved around 6-7lbs when I weighed mine. As for the weight savings on the rear disc...... not sure exactly there, it would depend on what brand you go with for the disc brake set up.
