I've done head gaskets to changing bearings while engine was in the car. So to say it can't be done correctly is a line of bull. It's about your approach to the job and the way you trouble shoot the problem.. Done it in the military all the way to my current job.

By the way with the right tools most jobs can be accomplished.

Well said Steve I've done them 4 times and have NEVER taken the motor out of the car. 2 sets were mine, one set We did at the BPG nats in Salem ohio under Jack Cottons tent right at the track. MY bud ran his FIRST 11 sec pass right after it too.
