I'm working towards completing my too long in the making hybrid build. It's an 87 drivetrain in an 81 El Camino. I swapped a GN dash in, complete with the VSS 4 pin (green) module, which I understand is for a cruise control equipped car. I will not be using cruise, so I have a couple of questions. First, can I use the 4 pin VSS on a non cruise application, and second (according to the link below), 2 connectors (4 wires) plug into the VSS. Anyone know which connectors are mentioned? http://www.installationinstructions.com/FYI/vss-tech.pdf

Additionally, my speedo has the 145 mph overlay. According to the article, calibration is achieved by altering "magnetic density". Anyone done that?

The dual output VSS buffer can be used for just the ECM. For wiring, typically, PNK/BLK is +12 v (switched), BLK/WHT is ground, and BRN is to the ECM.
