My hybrid is a 65 Skylark with 87 gn drivetrain. After almost 4 long years I am finnally getting it on the road and now that I am, some things I was not smart enough to think about in advance are poping up. For starters, how are other 'classic car' hybrid folks handling the Vehicle Speed Sensor issue?
My old mechanical spedo is working fine hooked up to the 200r4, but my scanmaster is reading 0mph and MAL code 24 (Vehicle Speed Sensor). From searching this site I have learned a bit about how the VSS works in stock cars and it seems that there are some connections to be made at the speedo end. Is there some way to "trick" the ECM when using an old school mechanical speedo?
