Vigilante or ptc

I have a 9x11 billet lockup in my GN and a PTC 2800 10inch in my T. I like both Gn has TE60 and T 6157 both spool instant with slics. PTC is looser around town. 9x11 passes as a D5 with street manner until you hit it. GN went 12.15@109 2 yrs ago with old combo. T has never been to the track. Had a premature lock up clutch or seal failure but Dusty fixed it an I have more miles on it now than before it failed.

Here is my experience with 5 disc VIGs on stock longblock. My GN went 10.87@125.8 on 93 and alky with a 63 turbo in 80 degree weather. I ran 4 10s in a row that day. From 10.95 to 10.87. All 125+ into a head wind. My TTA ran a 10.80@124+ with a 6262. It ran a string of 125+ in a row too. I was thinking of putting a PTC in my TTA before getting the 5 disc VIG for it but after talking to Dusty I was not 100% sure what to expect with a stock cammed motor and spool up/TC slippage. So I took the high road and used a 5 disc VIG in that car since I knew how my GN ran with it. 4 of my buddies also ran 11.00 with stock longblocks and 5 dics VIG. If I ever do a built shortblock I will try a 9.5 PTC. But for stock longblock/shortblocks the 5 disc VIG has been great for me.

Were those 10.5" vig's and L/U or N/LU ?

Locking the coverter? If so what speed? Did you check the 0-1psi stall speed to see where it is on the 6262 car?

Yes locking the TC. At about 75MPH. I never checked the stall at 1PSI with the 6262. I checked my DBB6765 and it is at 2400 at 1 PSI.

The TTA now has a DBB6265. I wll check to see what that one is at 1 PSI.
