I got a VDO Temp Sender #323-095 per a gnttype post with '86-87 part numbers.
This sender is 1/8-27, 250F and it looks about half the size it needs to be.
What VDO part number do I actually need?

OK great, couple of questions:

I can find pn 323 421 from JEGS online but not 323 421D.
What does the "D" signify in this part number?

I've also got an older, used sender that looks correct.
Its stamped as follows:
-)VDO, -)CZECH REPUBLIC, -)801/1/38, -)6-24V, -)+120C MAX, -)104
Is this a 323 421 sender?

I got the wrong oil pressure sender also!
That same gnttype post has VDO #360-003.

It is 80psi 1/8-27NPT and it looks too small also.
Which part number do I need?

don't know...

what the "D" specifies, but you should be able to call the tech-line and get the answer. the oil pressure sender I have is numbered 360-406.

Shadow, it seems your #360-406 has a 1/8-27 NPT, is that correct?
If so, that's the same size as the #360-003 I have.

My old stock sendor has a much larger thread for installing in the brass block.
Are you using some kind of adaptor to install it?
Am I missing something here, confused again.

Google VDO's website, there should be contact info on there. In the past I've been able to email them and get the part numbers I needed, and then Summit was able to get them to me. Pretty painless.

Now if only Innovative would respond to my emails.

The 005 is the 1/4npt, the 406 is for my trans(400psi) the 019 is the 1/4npt w/ 8# warning contact, sorry about the confusion, I haven't used it in a couple of years.
