valve ping

I have converted my H-A to 86-87 module and coil now I have bad valve ping under acceleration of any kind and it does not idle right like the timing is real high
 
yep. refer to your post #3.......
I don't have a chip for it yet but I thought you could swap module and the coil to the 87 with out swapping computer I bought the harness from caspers supposed to be a plug in play and the only reason I swapped it cause the coil was firing real weak I cant even boost right now cause there is so much denotation

To do the job you need the Coil Pack, ECM, Chip, and MAF. Without a ScanMaster you're not going be able to tune it as well so that is a highly recommended item. These cars can be modified but you have to take advantage of the information out there and make sure you do your research. I found all of this on 2 forums, gnttype.org and turbobuick.com. Don't be shy asking questions but there's a lot of info on the forums that can get you what you need.

  1. Scanmaster
  2. 86/87 ECM (#1227148)
  3. stock 86/87 GN chip
  4. stock good working 86/87 MAF sensor (LT1 or LS1)
  5. IAT sensor (install and pin in an IAT sensor to pin C11)
