I noticed on my stage II cylinderheads that the exhaust spring installed height(2.0") is taller than the intake (1.925") . Is this common with all Stage cylinderheads????

valve height

I see that often. you could have hardened tips on the intakes and not on the exhaust , thus requiring lash caps on the exhaust which would make up the difference. most busch engines used alot more intake lift than exhaust so it would need more room before coil bind in an effort to maintain spring life . reguardless it will still work fine.

This could be caused by the depth of the intake seat compared to the exhaust seat. The difference in depth is not necessarily a bad thing. Some head guys do this to change breathing characteristics.
