Direct Scan had a feature that computed HP/TQ which I found to be a good feature when I saw the power level drop to the bottom. I found out later that my valve springs were shot. I was wondering if PL had any features that would provide an indication that the valves are floating.
This is the information I extracted from a DS run. The scope chart showed a drop in calculated HP from 670 to 94 back to 693. Drop started at 5550 RPM in second gear and started back up when shift to third was made. Car spent a full half second at 78 MPH.
DS Time
RPM MPH Reading ET
4875 40 2.800 0
5025 50 3.430 0.630
5238 60 4.030 0.600
5450 70 4.660 0.630
5850 80 5.870 1.210
5125 90 6.530 0.660
5250 100 7.740 1.210
Total 4.940
I use TT SD chip so drop in MAF readings may not be good lead but drop in boost and MAP readings along with lenghty time spent at one speed.
Any thoughts or comments on this other than get a roller cam?
