universal joints/87 GN

Went to the local Buick dealership to get new u-joints,said they are no longer available.Went to a auto parts store and said 2 different ones available one with outer snap rings other with inner snap rings. Which ones are correct for my car?

I believe the inners are the ones you want. I just bought a set myself. Going to install this weekend.

Can't belive that u joint is discontinued.It's still in use in light duty GM pick-ups w/a steel driveshaft.Maybe the number has changed.It any case, it is a inside snap ring style;2-3011 Neapco or 5-3147x Spicer is greaseable;2 -0795 is the sealed high performance stronger version.You may have to find a driveline shop to buy the better quality.If you can't find them local,PM me -I have all in stock.

Get Brute Force u-joints. You need the inner snap ring ones.

Any brand that is greaseable is weaker than a solid non greaseable
