Turbo upgrade suggestion

I just got my car back and I'm going to upgrade the turbo. Wanting one that is a direct bolt up...And looking for suggestions. Also an will I have to change my stock intercooler?

Goal:
- mid 11's
- cold a/c
- extremely dependable/drive anywhere

I like the 5858 Billet Precision Turbo Unit…
Contact Bison to see what he’s able to supply you with in that range.
I would keep the Garret .63 exhaust housing for mid 11’s.
Thats the only thing I’d change about the 5858

You're on the right track getting bigger injectors and a matched chip for Razor's kit. I know from experience that that kit saved my bottom end at least once when I got impatient while tuning it and accidentally cranked the boost to 30 PSI. You can run 11s on the stock turbo, but it's pretty rough on it. I ran 11.57 at 119 on the stock turbo, but that was with the 30 PSI mistake.
 
TA-49 and TE-44 are well proven turbo's that work well with the d-5 stock converter. Stick to the Garret .63 exhaust housing. Both are 11 sec capable but remember it takes more than a turbo boss.
 
If your keeping the D5 and untouched heads, te44, 5857- 5957e covers , te60 the limit.
