I took off the foam underneath the hood because I found a mouse nesting in there when I went to start my GN tonight. I was wondering if it is all right to run with it out or will it cause paint discoloration, or is there a solution without getting another one? The reason I don't want to get another one is that I like it better out than in.

I never thought a mouse would go nest in there. I start the car every two weeks and let it idle for about 10min or so. At least it wasn't gnawing on any wires.

i would like to know this too, someday i want a fiberglass hood and am curious if you need to reinstall that on the fiberglass hood?

Fibreglass, I can't say......but I've not run a turbo shield nor underhood pad for years on my Red T with no adverse effects.

Im running a fiberglass hood without an insulator no paint problems or discoloration as of yet. Had the hood on for a year
