Has anyone had occasion to swap a 200 4 R into an earlier G Body
('82 Buick Regal with a small block 305 ) I want the overdrive !

What exact 200 4 R would I use that has the correct bell housing pattern and is there a bracket available that I would use for the TV cable at the 2bbl carburetor

Is there anything else that I need to consider ??

If I am not mistaken, the 200 4R is a dual pattern trans fitting both BOP and Chevy bell housings. The things you may need to address are the cross member, the drive shaft length and yoke, and running power to the lock up. All are easily remedied. There are kits available for the TV, one of which we have. Best trans to use are from any turbo GN or TTA and the Monte Carlo SS.

Our kits include basically all the needed soft parts, clutches, steels and seals mainly.

The TH200, TH350 and the 2004R are the same length so the driveshaft will be the same. The 2004R will use a different crossmember, any G-body will due. If you have the metric 200 now, the rest will be the same. With a TH350, a tv cable and dipstick tube will be needed.

Thanks guys, much appreciated !

Mark, do you have the TV cable adapter brackets in stock ?

If so, how much ?

Is it a direct bolt on or will I have to fabricate ?

If you have a carb with the curved throttle lever like a late '70's
through mid '80's Q-jet, a GM # 14077903 TV bracket and a
25507546 should work. The manifold should have the bolt bosses
for an old style coil for one of the bracket's bolts. I odered parts
for a 1986 Monte Carlo for my 200-4r into 1980 El Camino swap.
