translator lt1 maf idle issue

when i Unplug the MAF while the car is idleing. If the idle smooths out with the MAF unplugged.....i just tried another one, same issue, not as bad if i set the dip switch to 0 for 3.5 maf, but this is a lt1 impala maf, brand new, delphi one i have same thing, I've reset the cam sensor, checked for vacuum leaks, unplug the maf and translator, smooth idle..... could it be the translator??

Probably not. Base setting for 3 inch lt1 is 3 Running tt chip the dipps are 3 on and last off. Put mine in today. Car never ran better. Wot setting 0

Yes, it is possible the translator is faulty.
Don’t know of a way of testing the unit other than borrowing a known good one from someone.

Assuming you have the switches set right and the MAF is good it's possible the translator has a problem. Is there any signs of moisture in the translator?

tried an old stock maf i had laying around jus for shits and giggles, don't think it was good either but funny thing i put it in backwards by accident and it ran smooth, un hook it and it runs smooth, I've put known good coil and module from dads car and nothing different other than i think it ran even richer....
