Trans Temp

What is the normal operating temp of the 2004r Transmission at crusing speed 55-65mph?
How hot should it get when power braking when staging?
I have noticed temps around the 225-250 mark while staging the car. Radiator temps are 170 degrees on a 80 degree day. My TC is rated at 3200 stall. Are these temps normal when racing?

where is your temp sender? in the pan? thats on the warm side... do you have a cooler becides radiator?

My trans temp is usually 10-20* cooler than radiator of course
trans cooler in place.

I have two B & M trans cooler mounted below the radiator and the sender is located in the engine compartment about three inches from the radiator, not a stock radiator.

while trying to solve a temp problem of my own. I had a conversation with Jack Sedora at Precsion. His comments were don't excede 220 degrees. I have my transducer mounted right at the fitting on the discharge side of the tranny.
