I find myself searching for a new TPS and am shocked at the varied pricing.
Rock Auto - 153.79/158.79
Summit Holley - HLY 543-29 - 53.26
GM Parts Giant - 30.82
Ebay - 150.00

Any comments or suggestions for me?

Get the Holley for $53.26. I have it on mine. Many other members also are using it..

Buy most of your stuff from gbodyparts.com they're legit and have good pricing on the RIGHT PARTS

Some of the newer units will fit but although listed for the 84-85, they "may" not have the slotted holes. Can be made to work though.
