well, a lil' while ago was looking at PTE's new listing of turbos and the GT37 E caught my eye. normally a TE45A would be the potent choice for street/strip stalking. but, reading the description of the GT37 with its near stock appearance and 750hp rating...would anyone see this as a viable replacement for a TE45A?

to list a few...

champion alum heads
BGC Megaflow intake
70mm TB
PTE 218/218 cam
champion 1.65 rockers
72lbs. inj. (planned)
reds xp doubles (planned)
KB 911 TC
3" THDP
KB Big boy FMIC

with the dimensions mentioned it should spool like mad!

i've got a gt40 on order. thats want the place i work for said
would be big enough. i've got stock heads 50lb injectors,
single hot wired pump, and only a 2800 stall converter and
they said it would spoll fine. if i were you id go bigger. these
turbos spoll much easier than non ball bearing turbos.

Before buying anything advertised as a GT turbo, BE SURE you MAKE SURE the turbo has ALL GT components, not an old style with some GT pieces.

You'll be glad you did!

Look here, for a link to the compressor map for the GT37. It shows the 37 as only being able to flow about 55 lbs/min of air. I do not see how it will make 750 horsepower.
