We have run a few 9 second cars on low boost, and have fallen behind. Once the wick is turned up it should be no problem.
Car made 625 HP at 10 psi at 6500 rpm. Ill post 1/4 mile results as soon as we have them.

my vega had a small block 400 and a 91mm at 18lbs of boost and 3000 pounds on a 10.5w it would run in the 8s. so im sure you will get there
