Tilt Wheel Stalk/lever

Is there a trick to removing the tilt stalk/lever? I'm trying to replace mine and have a heck of time getting the old one out. I thought they just screwed out.

Captain Awesome did you ever find that part # for that stalk leveler, I like to replace mind when I change out my turn signal stalk ??
