Swaping Precision 9.5 multidisk out for a stock converter?

Hi All,

Got what I think is a simple question. I currently have a Precision 9.5” multidisc converter in my 87 GN. I’m putting the car back to stock. The transmission was modified for the PI converter, if memory serves they did something to the front pump? Anyway, can I swap the PI 9.5 out and go back to a stock converter or do I need to change the pump to an unmodified one or make some other change in the transmission?

Thanks for any help!

The tube that is installed in the pump is to create suction to the lock up circuit to remove more oil so the clutch can apply and stay locked. I have run different converters with no problem, lock-up seemed harder. If you have a spare pump, do the swap. Keep that pump with the converter. If you are selling it, it may help the sale.
