I posted a few days ago about a surge in my 1984 basically stock T-Type. After the responses I received then, I replaced the IAC Valve and adjusted some and got the following numbers:
Airflow 8 g/S
LV8 ENG. LOAD 44
Throt Position
.42
Knock Signal NO
Fuel Integrator Fluctuates from 113-119
Block Learn 110
Oxygen Sensor Fluctuates between 186-892 mV
Rich/Lean Flag Fluctuates between Rich and Lean
O2 Cross Counts Fluctuates between 0-13
IAC 37 (This was as low as I could adjust to)
Prop Step Taken Lean

Do any of these numbers tell of an obvious problem. The surge has improved but is still there. It occurs when the car is warmed up and it is in gear with the brakes applied at a dead stop. It is also a little evident until the TCC locks up. After the TCC locks and at cruising speed, the car runs very smooth.
