Speaking of F&F 2, what are the most pathetic movies in a series?

With all the talk about the F&F sequel, just got me to thinking. Sometimes great (or okay) movies come out but then the movie(s) after that just get progressively worse to wring out every dime they can out of the public. A few come to mind that were not just disappointing, but downright gawdawful:

1-Smokey & the Bandit Pts 2&3 (3 is where Jerry Reed dresses up as the Bandit )

2-Cannonball Run 2

3-Highlander 2 (the first was great, the others were pretty good)

4-Iron Eagle 2 to whatever they stopped at (Louis Gossett needs to fire his agent)

5-Police Academy 2 to infinity


What else is there to completely avoid at the video store?

Crocodile Dundee, Parts 2 and 3, 'Dundee in L.A'
Caddyshack 2
Jaws, Part's 2-3-4

Friday, 1 was hilarious, 2 lame and 3 forget it.

One exception was "Return To Macon County", the sequel to "Macon County Line". Still no masterpiece, but the cars, especially the '56 Chevy, were better, i.e., more authentic.

Well you have the Halloweens, the Poltergeists, NES's. Horror movies are notorious for bad sequels.

I agree Smokey and the Bandit 3 and Caddyshack 2 are the worst of all time.

After Star Trek II all the sequels were horrible

The GodFather Part III never should have been written
