Bought this car last month from Robbie (97ramsst)...it's a great car..and very fast. I also have a '71 Dodge Dart with a 440 in it and the GN crushes it in everyway.
Can't answer the question about the LS1 brakes but I can tell u that this thing stops on a dime...a "must have" upgrade imho.

If the weather stays nice I might have it dyno'd tomorrow..will post results.

Those results will be VERY interesting...I know it felt like the strongest car I have ever driven! It was hard to realize the quality and amount of work in that car until I got my bone stock 86...the car you got is amazing!!! I hope you are enjoying it!

It's got a good stable mate and fits right in. The Road Runner is getting a engine transplant this weekend so that's why the exhaust is hanging and it looks jacked up.
