Softening light throttle shift?

I'm finally tired of the constant jarring and clanking of the rear end from the light throttle shifts. My tranny shifts way to hard at light throttle. Will switching from the .500 boost valve to a .471 soften the light throttle shifts? WOT shifts are great, so I dont want to affect them. Are there any better suggestions, or things to try? I've played with the TV cable adjustment alot and it doesn't have the effect I want.

What shift kit do you have? are all shift too hard?

Its a killer street transmission from Performance Transmissions, so I dont know whats in it. Yes, all the shifts are to hard.

I will build another VB and you can swap me.
Can you swap it yourself? If so this may be the answer. Or I can redo yours. Take off vb and plate with acc and I will replace . No charge other than the freight.

Boy, that sounds like a lot of trouble.

Stick an 8-inch race converter in there and that'll calm it down.
