Where are the rear bump stops? I am not seeing any on my car.....I am doing some cutting and welding to get more rear travel after lowering it a bunch and know they need to be addressed too.
I feel like an idiot, but all I have is a floor jack and a flash light which means jacked up its about OEM height. :p

Directly behind the rear brake drums on the housing. There are rectangular slots where the bump stops should be if yours are gone. -----Jeremy

In there lies the issue, I have rear discs....thus no clearance, thus the notch...thus a lot of pains in my butt.
SO I must not have any....btw, discs were done before me.

You could use a screw in type bumper onto the frame. They work pretty well actually!;)

I have disc brakes and I still have my rear bump stops (jounce bumpers)! No brake kit available today should ever interfere with the jounce bumpers as for one, they are too far in and second any disc brake set up should go no further than the facing of the axle where the backing plate mounts to.. The Only thing that goes past it will be the caliper, lines and I don't see them causing a problem..

Different rear end?
Someone removed them?

Like Jeremy mentioned, you could drill a hole on your frame and install the screw in type so you at least have them there if needed..

Here are a few pictures of my new jounce bumpers installed.. 1st picture is with the drum brakes.

In the 2nd pic with the disc brakes the jounce bumper is located towards the front of the axle between the spring and the axle mounting plate but it's unseen. You can see that the backing plate does not go farther than the axle plate and that the caliper is on the opposite side of the jounce bumper. as you see nothing will ever bother it so someone had to have done something to/with it..

my rear caliper is on the frame, and as wide as it requiring a c notch to get clearance. I was told these are s-10 rear discs...something seems off. SE Turbo in GA did this for the former owner.....

Here is each caliper;(sorry its 2 a.m. and light is low)
The first pic is under driver caliper looking up at frame. Weird shot, sorry.
The next you can see where it scratches the frame looking thru pass rear wheel. Then look at the rest below the frame where it actually is sitting frame on caliper....

Something doesnt seem right here. There is no reason those calipers should be so close to the frame. I usually have at least 3/4" clearence. Was your rear end narrowed? Are the calipers on weld on brackets or are they on backing plates?

It appears to be an OEM fit. Do you think this is a whole S-10 blazer rear axle? The receipt from SE Turbo only had a rear disc conversion. BTW, the same wheels fit the same way before and after (16" mesh GTA style) so its a head scratcher. I will get pics in day light soon.

It's hard to tell by your pictures, are those calipers facing the front of the car? They should be at the back of the wheel... Maybe installed on wrong sides?

But like JD mentioned, something isn't right!

Calipers are on the rear;
here is the passenger side rear for a look from behind, top and side.....

(crappy cell phone pics and T-mobile's site wont let me get the good images currently...)
