Just thought I would throw this out there !! My system would get Fussy in the summer time when the temps would be in the high 80's and 90's , always thought the system was losing it's prime !!! Not so , the pump is thermally protected for uses when the pump runs for long periods of time . Pump gets too hot and the overload opens up , saving the pump ! Well in my case just the under hood temps would trip the thermal overload , not the pumps motor getting to hot !!! NO PUMP NO METH = BAD !! Easy fix remove this little BITCH and my problem has be resolved . Doesn't miss a beat when hot under the hood now !! Easy to remove and doesn't hurt a thing , pump only runs 10 to 12 seconds at a time !!
