Howdy folks,
I have an 2004 R with an Art Carr billet servo and reybestos band.
I was driving around town 2 weeks ago. Tranny was fine and shifted great. About 2 hours of driving, my 1-2 shift suddenly went sluggish. Its worse than a stock shift. It doesnt slip once it is in gear, just shifting only.
So far, I took the servo out and replaced the lip seal with new ones obtained from Art Carr. I made sure that the pin made contact and pushed on the band with little travel. Test drove and it made no difference.
Now, should I try taking the valve body out and inspect it or yank the whole tranny and inspect the band itself (basically a soft parts rebuild while I am there)?
TIA
