T turboCR New Member Joined Feb 15, 2003 May 15, 2003 #2 I would say no. Noise is normally bad. Ever had your oil tested for metals? What else can you tell us? How many miles? ANy engine work done? what is your oil consumption? What is the oil pressure?? Where is the noise coming from?

T ttypetom New Member Joined Feb 26, 2003 May 15, 2003 #3 The milage is 66k, synthic oil only used, replaced valve springs 1k ago, oil consumption is 1qt in 3k miles. Compression test showed 145-150 on 5 of the cylinders and 135-140 on 1 cylinder. The noise sounds like it may be the roller lifters pumping up, is this possible the noise at start up cold, no noise hot. Tom
