Slicks or DOTs?

My Hoosier QTPs are done - cord is showing. Should I get another set of QTPs - I ususally get mid - high 1.6 60' with a bit of tire spin w/a best of 1.56 - or go with a true slick? Are slicks worth an extra 0.1 - 0.2 in the 60'? If a slick, could one drive it to the track with the slicks on since I hate changing tires w/o an impact gun & floor jack?

The QTPs are 27 x 10.5 (9" wide) if I got a slick it would be a 28 x 9.

Thank you for your opinions.

Slicks or dots

Get yourself a set of MT drag radials and drive it to and from the track and anywhere else you want. You can get 1.6 and 1.5 60 times from them.

Hey Royal, I've heard great things about the M/T DR's. I'm running M/T ET Drag slicks in 28 x 9 since I'm trapping in the mid-upper 120's and needed a 28 inch tire and a 275 60 would be too wide and would rub. I cruise around to punish the street from time to time on M/T slicks, but it is a little on the scary side. I'd vote for a M/T DR in this case.
