I am "restoring" a set of '87 GN wheels. They will be stripped to bare metal and powdercoated one color. Satin black or black chrome or ? Please provide your thoughts. TYVM!
Here's a glimpse at what PBTP's SD Wet Black would look like. I haven't had time to finish the other 3 and mount them though.:redface:
I think the black chrome would look great, but if I remember correctly, it doesn't come in a "super durable" finish, like the wet black does. That way its easy to clean and harder to scratch.
I am of the opinion that black wheels on black cars usually don't look right. I think the black chrome would be a great compromise and a good look. You need some contrast somewhere.
X2. I think that black wheels look too much like "winter wheels" that some car owners use here in the winter months usually mounted with winter tires... Personnally, I much prefer something that will will contrast more like polished or chromed wheels...:smile:
